Savannah Blues

Savannah Blues, Mary Kay Andrews - This "southernly" sweet book fails to deliver in the suspense department, but it still packs lots of charm. Eloise "Weezie" Foley is divorced from Talmadge Evans III, a blue-blood architect, but still lives in the carriage house behind the townhouse he shares with his sexy, olive skinned fiancée, Caroline DeSantos (that was a mouthful). Weezie scrapes up a living by selling old antiques that she finds at estate sales, old homes and inside Dumpsters. When she discovers Caroline's dead body in a closet, Weezie becomes the prime suspect in her murder. To make matters worse, her mother is an alcoholic and she can't seem to spark a proper romance with Daniel Stipanek, the chef at her best friend Bebe Loudermilk's restaurant. I thoroughly enjoyed this book even though the suspense fizzled much too soon. Cute, funny and witty; I would recommend this book to chick-lit and fiction fans alike.

♥♥♥ - I LIKE IT!
